About the event
In this afternoon series of five short (20 minute) illustrated talks about the long history of our church, local researchers will take you back to the ancient beginnings of worship here in the Dark Ages, then showing how the medieval building, which still gives much character to the present church, was developed over several centuries and finally, in the 20th century, the combination of a wealthy Rector with one of the greatest early 20th century designers of his day provided the resplendent decoration which dominates the church today.
