Music at All Saints

All Saints has a vibrant musical tradition - three choirs, all under the baton of Antony Matthews, our Director of Music.

The Children's Choir

The Children's Choir sing every week at the 9am All Age Eucharist, and with the Parish Choir when we have a joint service.

The choir is aimed at children aged 6+; you don’t need to be able to read music or play an instrument, but it is important that parents support their children coming regularly. Practices are on a Sunday morning after the service, in readiness for the next week.

If you’re interested or want some more information please talk to Fr David on a Sunday morning, or email Antony for more information.

The Parish Choir

The Parish Choir sings at the High Mass on the 2nd and 4th Sundays of the month, and at major feasts in the Church year (such as Midnight Mass, Ash Wednesday, and over Easter Weekend). Once a month we sing a full Choral Eucharist, and once a month we lead a congregational setting of the Communion Service and sing a motet during Communion.

The choir is aimed at anyone who can sing (most people) and who is willing – there’s no need to be able to read music, we’ll teach you what you need to know (the rest you don't!). Rehearsals are at 8pm on a Wednesday evening during term time, and at 10am on a Sunday morning when we’re singing.

If you’re interested or want some more information please talk to Antony after one of the High Masses on a Sunday morning, or email.

The Sutton Chorale

The Sutton Chorale is a choir run by Antony and Martin French (Director of Music at St Mark’s, Woodcote), and is made up of singers from our parish choirs and a number of other local parish church choirs. They sing Choral Evensong on the 1st Sunday of the month (except in August and September), lead our Carol Services, and members regularly augment the Parish Choir for special services; we regularly go to help out other churches around the London Borough of Sutton as well, and arrange tours to UK Cathedrals and Europe.

The choir is aimed at any enthusiastic singer; rehearsals are on Sundays at 4.30pm. If you’re interested or want some more information please talk to Martin or Antony after Evensong, or email; there’s some more information on the Sutton Chorale website.
